Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of services provided by Boyce, PhD, LMSW Consulting, P.C. (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us,” or “DR. BOYCE”) and doing business as DR. BOYCE. By engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all services provided by DR. BOYCE, including but not limited to therapy, trauma-informed sessions, healing packages, groups, workshops and trainings, speaking engagements and retreats, and all associated content and communication, both online and in person. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Nature of Services
DR. BOYCE, provides professional trauma-informed and educational services, including:
Trauma-Informed Sessions: Virtual, one-on-one, hourly sessions focused on trauma-informed education, self-discovery, mind-body practices, and strategies for resilience and growth.
Healing Packages: Virtual, structured, multi-session programs designed to provide continuity and deeper integration of tools and practices.
Groups: Virtual, group sessions focused on thematic goals.
Workshops and Trainings: Virtual or in-person group learning experiences designed for personal growth, relationship skills, or mental health education.
Speaking Engagements: Virtual or in-person presentations and keynotes for organizations and events.
Retreats: In-person immersive experiences focused on emotional wellness, growth, and self-discovery.
Services are provided to adults only, ages 18 and older.
3. Geographic Scope
While DR. BOYCE is based in the United States, services may be available to clients worldwide, unless prohibited by law or licensure requirements in specific jurisdictions.
4. Scope of Services
Dr. Boyce is licensed as a mental health professional in New York and Delaware. Clients physically located outside these states will receive healing-centered trauma informed sessions. All services offered by DR. BOYCE are non-diagnostic, do not include insurance billing, and are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment. By engaging in services, you acknowledge and agree.
5. Booking and Payments
Individual Therapy Sessions: Pay-per-session basis.
Packages, Group Sessions, Workshops, Trainings, Speaking Engagements: Require either full payment or an initial deposit at the time of booking. Payment must be completed prior to service delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted Payment Methods: Stripe, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
Insurance: DR. BOYCE does not accept insurance or provide superbills.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
For scheduled sessions, cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance using the link provided in your Calendly booking confirmation email. To ensure efficient scheduling, a waiting period of no more than 10 minutes will be observed for scheduled Zoom meetings. If a client has not joined the meeting within this timeframe, it will be considered a no-show and subject to the aforementioned. policy. Workshops, group sessions, and retreats may have specific cancellation policies outlined at time of registration.
7. Refund Policy
All purchases are non-refundable. This includes healing packages, group programs, digital content, and event registrations. Clients are encouraged to contact us prior to purchase for clarity or guidance.
8. Confidentiality and Data Privacy
All services are delivered with a strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy. While the services offered are non-diagnostic and not billed to insurance (and therefore not governed by HIPAA), all information shared in sessions is treated as private and confidential, except in rare circumstances where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm or abuse).
9. Intellectual Property
All content provided by DR. BOYCE, including ebooks, workbooks, audio content, video materials, and workshop resources, is protected by copyright. Clients may not share, resell, distribute, or reproduce content without prior written consent. All materials are for personal use only. Commercial use, reproduction, or distribution without written consent is strictly prohibited.
10. Communications
All communications, including scheduling, inquiries, and updates, are managed via email. Clients will receive booking confirmations, reminders, and digital resources through email. Ensure your email address is up to date.
11. Disclaimers
DR. BOYCE provides non-crisis, trauma-informed wellness and educational services. These services are not a substitute for emergency psychiatric or medical care. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
12. Use of Service
Clients agree to use services responsibly and respectfully. Disruptive, abusive, or unethical behavior may result in termination of services without refund.
13. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:
Showing up on time for scheduled sessions.
Engaging actively in the therapeutic process.
Following through with any agreed therapeutic work outside of sessions.
14. Changes to Services
DR. BOYCE, reserves the right to modify service offerings, pricing, policies, or these Terms at any time. Notice will be provided via the website or email when updates occur.
15. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and any disputes arising shall be resolved under this jurisdiction.
