Journey to the
Heart’s Garden
Interactive Emotional Literacy Author Visits for Schools
Help students build emotional vocabulary, strengthen friendship skills, and practice healthy relationship behaviors through a story-based relational learning experience designed primarily for Pre-K–Grade 3.
What Students Experience
Engage in an interactive, expressive author-led read-aloud with projected illustrations that deepen connection to the story and enhance engagement.
Explore selected relationship “seeds” from the story, such as honesty, accountability, forgiveness, and respect.
Participate in guided discussion, reflection, and age-appropriate relationship skill-building activities.
Close with a personal reflection and “seed” commitment.
Designed for Young Learners, Adaptable Across Settings
Primary experiences are designed for Pre-K–Grade 3, with developmental adjustments based on age, group size, and setting. Programs can also be adapted for libraries, early learning centers, youth-serving nonprofits, counseling practices, community and faith-based organizations, conferences, family events, and select retreat settings.
